As a cognitive-behavioral therapist, Dr. Schut offers evidenced-based treatment approaches that aim to ameliorate specific symptoms in mood, behavior and thinking that cause an individual distress or interference in their daily functioning. He has particular interest in integrating mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches within cognitive-behavior therapy, such as found in DBT, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
